The Society of Saint Edmund serves a number of Catholic parishes in Vermont and one in Selma, Al. People often remark that Edmundite Churches “feel different” for they are welcoming communities that feel like home. Nurturing these communities is an important part of the Edmundite mission for our hope is to enrich the spiritual life of our parish families and further their understanding of the Catholic faith.
Our role in pastoral ministry isn’t limited to parishes. In all of the places you’ll find Edmundites — college campuses, food banks, inner city schools or retreat centers — our charism calls us to be present and involved in people’s lives in very meaningful ways. The following are parishes ministered by Edmundites:
Fr. David Cray, SSE
Fr. Stephen Hornat, SSE
Fr. Richard Myhalyk, SSE
Br. Peter Stanfield, SSE
Fr. Charles Ranges, SSE
The heart of the Society of Saint Edmund’s mission is serving where the need is greatest, a credo that has led us to four core ministries: Social Justice, Education, Spiritual Renewal and Pastoral Ministry. It is through these core ministries that we live out a faith-based life of service and make a real difference in people’s lives by bringing them closer to God.
