Where does God need you?
More than a century ago, our founder Father Jean-Baptiste Muard challenged a small group of Roman Catholic priests to go out and make Jesus known and loved, particularly in communities where the Church lacked a presence. Essentially this is what Edmundite priests and brothers still do today. We go to the places where we are needed — be it 10 or 1,000 miles away — to help the poor, provide comfort to those in need and establish ministries that make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
     As you’ll quickly learn clicking through this Web site, Edmundites are involved in exceptionally challenging work. Our roles may be diverse — we serve as parish priests, teachers, counselors and advocates for social justice — yet we all work in the spirit of collaboration and inclusion to bring people closer to God.
     If you are investigating religious life, I encourage you to get to know us. I am often amazed and humbled by my fellow Edmundites and their depth of commitment to our mission and love for all we serve. And as much as we give, we receive so much more in return, for it’s our spirituality, common life and missionary zeal that influences the lives of so many and helps make the world a better place.
